Questions to Consider
- Do you ever hire anyone who gets injured in the first year and you believe it could be because they didn't have the strength to do the job in the first place?
- Do you ever spend time and money hiring and training someone and then they quit because the job is too physically hard for them?
- Do you ever have anyone that is on light duty... stay on light duty too long?
- Do you ever have someone that you could place back at work, and would be willing to do so... but the "restrictions" are just too much?
- Do you ever have reluctance to bring someone back to work until they are 100%? Why are you reluctant?
- Do you have people off too long because you think they might be requesting the physician to hold them off longer than they should?
- Do you have workers who come back to work and then get reinjured? Why do you think that is?
- Do you ever think the worker tells the doctor what the job demands are but may exaggerate the heaviness of the job?
- Do you think your own job descriptions are up to date and totally accurate on all of the physical demands of the job? Are they easy for a doctor or health professional to read? Do you ever use them in the hiring process?
